A keyword search is similar to most Internet searches. It searches for matches within individual records compared to all the word(s) (in any order) that you type in the Keyword Search for box. You can tell the computer to look at all fields ("Any Field"), or you can limit your search to just a single specified field in the Search by: box, such as Author (or performer), Subject, Title.
Results will be displayed in "Most Popular" order by default. (This often places much-viewed videos at the top, since videos have a shorter check-out period and hence more opportunity to be checked out again quickly.) But you can adjust the display by selecting a different order in the "Sort by:" box, before clicking "Go".
The search results show all the titles that matched your search. Click any title to see its full record. Click Availability to see which branches have copies. Click "Place Request" to place a hold. Click Enriched Info to see supplementary information, larger cover art, and reviews.
You can use the wildcard character (*) to represent any number of other characters. For example, if you type shake*, you might find "shakespeare" or "shaker."
Tip: You can limit your search to certain branches, material types, publication dates, languages or use additional sorting orders. Click Open Search Options.
